Rylee Rader’s impressive career in the sport of volleyball is filled with remarkable accomplishments and accolades. In both 2020 and 2021, she was recognized as a standout player, earning a spot on the AVCA Northeast All-Region team. Additionally, Rylee’s exceptional performances led to her inclusion in the All-Big Ten First Team in 2021, solidifying her status as one of the conference’s top players. 

She currently holds the career record for hit percentage in her program, boasting an outstanding .394 average. In 2021, she was named the MVP of the Red Raider Classic and earned a well-deserved place on the All-Tournament Team. Rylee’s commitment to academic excellence is also noteworthy, as she received Academic All-Big Ten honors in both 2021 and 2022, and was recognized as an OSU Scholar Athlete in 2022.

Throughout her collegiate journey, Rylee showcased her versatility and exceptional skill set. She reached significant milestones in career blocks, ranking 18th in her program’s history with 285 blocks during the Elite Eight of the NCAA Tournament at Texas on December 10, 2022. Rylee also achieved notable milestones in kills and aces, reaching her 500th career kill against Georgia Tech on September 11 and her 600th kill against Michigan State on November 5. Rylee’s achievements include setting a new program record for single-season attack percentage, hitting an impressive .443 with 297 kills, 35 errors, and 605 total attempts. In a match against Notre Dame on September 17, 2021, she tied the program’s individual match record for attack percentage, hitting a remarkable .900 with nine kills and zero errors on ten attempts. 

Born to Bryan and Leslie Rader, Rylee comes from a family with a strong athletic background, as her father played football at Southern Illinois. Her contributions to the world of collegiate volleyball at Ohio State have undoubtedly made a lasting impact on the sport.
